A special service takes you to the Niederhorn’s summit early in the morning. See the natural world come alive as you admire the sunrise.

Every Friday morning from July to September, a regional wildlife specialist takes you through the imposing natural landscape of the Niederhorn to see the ibex colonies. Early morning in the mountains belongs to the wild animals. The tour commences at 6.40h from Beatenbucht and at 7.00h from Beatenberg. It’s worth getting up early for. The Niederhornbahn will take you to the summit in good time to see nature and the wildlife come alive. If the weather is good, you’ll also experience a spectacular sunrise.

On a discovery tour with an expert
The guided wildlife observation tour will teach you lots of interesting and exciting facts about ibex, chamois, marmots and eagles. The tour takes about six hours, of which four solid hours are spent hiking. Pack a tasty picnic in your backpack and lace up your hiking boots. Taking a camera with you will allow you to record your unforgettable encounters with the wild animals for all time. Six pairs of Swarovski Optik CL Companion binoculars will also be available for use during the tour. The wildlife observation tour follows a panoramic ridge towards the Gemmenalphorn and concludes at the middle station in Vorsass.Your highlights at a glance
