Gunten lido

Enjoy the summer and freshen up at the inviting lido by Lake Thun. As you soak up the sun on the well-tended lakeside lawn, savour the views of a majestic mountain panorama that includes the Niesen and the Stockhorn range.

Gunten’s compact lido, which once belonged to the adjacent Hotel Hirschen, is affectionately known to locals as the «Hirschebedli». Entry to the swimming zone on the right bank of Lake Thun is free, and the beautifully maintained lakeside lawn is a perfect place to unwind. With shady trees and a compact shingle beach, guests can relax in complete comfort. Savour incomparable views of the Niesen and the surrounding peaks, then freshen up with a dip in the cool, clear waters.
 
Treat yourself to an ice-cream or tasty snack from the Badi-Kiosk, then quench your thirst with a refreshing drink. A barbecue station is also available. Sporty types can let off steam on the beach volleyball pitch to the rear of the swimming area. The lido is easily accessible by public transport, and there is also a boat embarkation point nearby.
